Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a Self-Storage facility?
A self-service storage facility provides a variety of storage unit sizes and types available to the public for personal, business, and recreational storage use.
Are all the rental spaces the same size?
No. We have a variety of unit sizes to meet your needs. If you have questions regarding which size is right for you, please review Unit Size page on this website. Our storage unit size guide will help you determine the storage space you need. If you have any additional questions regarding unit sizes, storage types, or prices, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Who Has Access to my Storage Unit?
The unit you rent is secured with your lock and your key - only you can decide who has access to your unit and who doesn't. It's our policy to never give anyone who isn't on your rental agreement access. We feel this only adds to the security of your items. However, you are free to divulge your unit number, key, and gate-code access to anyone of your choosing.
Do I have to commit to a long-term lease?
Our rental contracts are month-month agreements. No long-term lease is required. Rent your unit for as long (or short) as you need! We offer month-to-month leases. Our goal is to make your storage experience as simple and easy as possible. We do require notice of your intent to vacate.
When can I access my storage unit?
You can access your secured unit anytime we are open or with our convenient electronic access even when we are closed! Electronic access is available 24- hours a day, 7 days a week.
What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The office hours are the hours of operation for the property when the facility manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The gate hours are the hours your rental unit can be accessed using your assigned electronic gate code.
When I am ready to vacate what is needed?
The move-out process is easy: just empty your storage unit and let us know that you’re leaving. We’ll close out your account that day. As a courtesy, we ask that you give notice at least 10 days before your intended vacate date.
How do I pay for my service?
You can choose to pay in person at the property with cash, check, or a credit/debit card. We can also set up a convenient Auto Pay to debit your credit/debit card.
What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit has a roll-up door and its own loading area. Just drive up to it and load your belongings.
Do I need insurance?
It's important to insure your personal or business items since things left in storage aren't generally covered by homeowner or rental insurance policies.
Can I buy packing and moving supplies even if I don’t’ rent a unit or a truck from you?
Yes. We sell boxes and other moving supplies to anyone.
What should or should not be stored in a self storage unit?
Self-storage is an excellent option for storing overflow of many different types of materials from your home or business. As such, we frequently get questions about what is acceptable to store.
Restrictions do apply. All storage facilities have restrictions on what they allow to be stored on their premises. This is for the protection of not just you and your belongings, but the facility staff and the other customers and their goods. As a general rule, anything that is considered “inherently dangerous” will not be allowed.
If you’re not sure if an item is allowed, call us ahead of time and we will be happy to help.
